LaVance Lining is a versatile self-taught artist based in Atlanta, GA who creates work that sparks dialogue around social norms and the complex realities of the world around us. Whether through pastel drawings, colored pencil drawings, or oil paintings, he often incorporates geometric abstraction and vivid color undertones to bring his pieces to life.
 

Lining has been interested in art, architecture, music and other creative outlets since childhood, and he continues to push boundaries in his crafts.  His artistic practice includes hours of researching master artists, paintings and techniques to inform his own body of work. Through personal experience and cultural reflection, his pieces explore identity, justice, and collective consciousness.
